Educational Technology 

The book has eighteen (18) lessons, the first of which is on the meaning of educational technology. The meaning of educational technology serves as basis of the organization of the lessons. After spending time on the question “Is technology boon or bane?”, the book proceeds by discussing general topics on the roles and functions of technology, the systematic approach to teaching and the cone of experience. The cone of experience introduces a detailed discussion of the most relevant specific instructional technologies following the arrangement in the cone of experience. The use of the chalkboard and the overhead projector two most popular, most available and versatile equipment is discussed before the experiential, constructivist and integrative project-based multimedia learning is introduced and illustrated with a concrete lesson example. The concluding lesson is on assessment in a constructivist and technology-supported learning environment, the last phase in the systems approach to instruction.
