Abstract
Gender and Society. A Human Ecological Approach is a module on gender and society, which can also serve as a material for human sexuality, gender studies, and other related courses. The module surveys various methodological, theoretical, and practical orientations in gender and sexuality. Using the human ecological lens, it approaches gender and sexuality from a transdisciplinary stance and allows learners to understand social realities using multiple disciplinal perspectives (e.g., biomedical, political-legal, and psychological-sociocuitural). Most essentially, it equips learners with competencies required in investigating and analyzing cross-cutting issues in gender and society.

This module is designed to be:

- transdisciplinary: enabling learners to integrate theoretical lenses and methodological tools of various disciplines;

- learner-centered: empowering learners to enhance their own agency in learning through self-directed exercises and reflective activities; and

- outcomes-based: aligning activities and assessment to a set of outcomes.
