Abstract
EMERGENT TECHNOLOGIES-BASED TEACHING STRATEGIES is considered as one of the most beneficial contributions to the field of teaching in the Philippines. This book is meant for the educators to assist them in designing classroom activities that are perfectly aligned with the 21st century learning environment. Moreover, administrators will also benefit from this work since they will determine exactly the modern technologies that are needed so as to conform to the demands of the constantly changing learning environment.

This work also complements with the implementation of the Department of Education’s K-12 as it involves topics and activities devoted in empowering the teachers to assist the learners in collaborative, outcomes-based learning activities. Likewise, this promotes the Commission on Higher Education’s College Readiness Standards anchored on the various competencies relevant to the objectives of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

The book consists of an introductory segment followed by three distinct parts namely Lights, Camera and Action, similar to a typical media scenario that is popular to everyone. This compares the daily classroom activities to the events taking place in the world of television and cinema/film. The teachers

and students both assume the roles of being a performer and an audience at the same time. Hence, it added to the belief that the mass media’s influence in people’s lives is truly inescapable.

The entire book conveys information on countless amazing, innovative and highly animated teaching strategies that can be effortlessly executed inside the classroom using emergent technologies (equipment's, devices, gadgets and tools) available that are applicable to various subjects in all levels.

It begins with the background information of the strategy in focus as well as the mechanics/procedures. Then, the three various segments follow namely:

Lights provides the details of the strategy in focus such as when to use the said strategy, its objectives, examples and requirements.

Camera, on the other hand, enumerates the possible topics that can be touched using the strategy in focus which include but not limited to English and Literature, History/Social Studies/Araling Panlipunan, Science, Mathematics, Filipino, Religion/Values Education/Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao/Pagpapahalaga, Music, Arts, Physical Education (P.E.) and Health and Technology and Livelihood Education/Edukasyong Pantahanan at Pangkabuhayan.

Finally, Action shows some photos that provide a clearer view of its implementation which were diligently collected by the author in his classes.

Overall, the author envisions educators in various levels and disciplines to teach their students with invigorating spirit with the aid of highly emergent technologies present in our midst thus sustaining the enthusiasm of the learners in their quest for a better future! Let our teaching experiences shine to the highest level anytime...anywhere!

Are you ready to begin? Lights..Camera...Action!
