Field Study II is a continuation of Field Study I. It allows the student teachers to participate and assist in limited actual teaching-learning activities that relate to the assessment of learning, preparation of instructional materials, and other routines in the classroom (CHED Memorandum Order Nos. 74-80 & 82, series of 2017).

This textbook was conceptualized to prepare student teachers in designing and implementing effective lessons for the K-12 Curriculum. The lessons and activities in this textbook are designed to meet the demands and requirements of the new teacher education curriculum following the Outcomes Based Education paradigm prescribed by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). The textbook was also aligned to the new Professional Teacher Standards in the Philippines.

As an instructional material, this textbook allows the student teachers to:

- reflect on the different educational theories and principles;
- observe classes and best teaching practices;
- interact with students;
- evaluate instructional materials and assessment tools; and
- analyze curriculum documents and analyze lessons.
